Hot Wheels...My Horse

Hot Wheels is my horse, or at least he is for a few more days. I would like to keep him but I'm just not in town enough to have him and I would kind of prefer to go see Jesse and hang out with him on the weekends than stay home and take care of my horse. So basically boyfriend trumps horse and Hot Wheels has to go. The good news is that he is going to a good home where he will get to live on a ranch and run as much as he would like. He has a lot of spunk so it will be very good for him. The pictures above aren't the best because they were taken just after I gave him a bath and he wasn't dry yet. His new owner will take over on Thursday (April 2) and while I will miss him it is the best for him. Plus I don't have as much free time as I once thought, I have time between classes which is more than enough for running errands but not quite enough to go saddle a horse and get a decent ride in.

Also, I have my bros puppy back the little monster (Roscoe Knox) so he will keep me busy. I already feel bad if I don't spend enough time with him while I'm at class and such so it will be for the best to say goodbye to Hot Wheels. Isn't he a cute little thing (he's only like 14 hands)!

Jesse brought me roses!

Aren't they beautiful?!? I love them! I was just cleaning up my kitchen when he came in and surprised me with them on friday. What a sweetie, I love him! He was at training on my birthday and didn't get done till valentines day so I didn't get any then (I think he felt bad) so he surprised me friday. I think Alicia is right its much better to get them randomly then for holidays and birthday. I was already excited cause he was coming to see me but when I got them it brightened me up a little more.
I couldn't decide which picture was my favorite of them so you all get to see a few favorites. He laughed at me when I told him I was going to dry them and keep them forever because they are the first flowers he's given me. I really do love them!

So our weekend was a lot of fun. I think the most entertaining part was when Jesse decided to go try on cowboy boots, at least it was in the beginning. He couldn't decide what exactly he was looking for so we ended up being in the store for like an hour and a half and I didn't try on anything or really even look for stuff. It was all about him. We were going to go to Texas Roadhouse saturday night but once we got there we decided we didn't want to wait an hour for a table so we went to Applebee's instead which was quite good. We got the 2 for $20 thing, we got spinach and artichoke dip for the appetizer and I got a steak for dinner and Jesse got chicken pasta... its a pretty good deal you should try it sometime!

...hmmm...

Today has seemed incredibly long, from the moment I woke up. I went to bed pretty early but didn't fall asleep for a long time, I was just thinking too much. This morning when I woke up I really wanted to go back to sleep but I had to get up and get ready. The past few mornings I could have slept in but instead I was wide awake brite and early and couldn't fall back asleep. This made the day seem very long and made me feel crappy all day for some reason.

Anyways, this is not intended to be a post about me complaining. I was going to tell you about my weekend. Jesse and I went up to Springerville friday afternoon/evening, we stopped in Alpine to see how everything is coming along on the Cabin...it is definately a construction zone but it should look really good when its done. Saturday we went to Pinetop and watched a movie (Mall Cop) and Rach did a little shopping. Sunday we came back to New Mexico, we stopped in Alpine and went for a ride on the 4-wheeler before going back to Silver City. While we were there we did get a few things...like my grill, and tack stuff for my horse (not sure if dad knows about the horse), and a basket for my bike.

Yesterday (Monday) was Jesse's birthday I didn't really make it very exciting for him but we grilled elk steaks and I made him a cake. Brian ate with us (he's Jesse's roommate) and then we watched a movie. Oh yes and I met him for lunch...at Wendy's. It was fine dining.

It was a pretty good weekend except for the fact that I didn't take a single picture and had my camera with me the entire time! The one posted is from a while ago, its elk between Alpine and Springerville.
